Entering its 8th year of partnership, Maxxis has announced that it will yet again be supporting the efforts of Team Japspeed for 2017. The team, managed by Paul McCallum, is renowned as the most successful BDC drifting team after winning multiple titles over the years.

This year’s line-up, which includes Shane Lynch, Paul ‘Smokey’ Smith and Matt ‘Doorhunter’ Carter, is looking forward to an exhilarating season and has opted to use a new tyre: switching the Maxxis MAZ1 drift tyres for the VR1.

Originally developed with Formula D star, Ryan Tuerck, the VR1 tyre boasts – amongst other key features – a new reinforced casing and sidewall designed to provide a ‘telepathic’ response for the ultimate driving experience.
