Maxxis Riders Top of the Leader Board in BMX

With the British BMX Series in full swing, Maxxis is proud to say that after the 8th round it’s sponsored riders sporting the Torch and DTH tyres have secured top spots.

Alan Hill, Maxxis sponsored rider from the Pure Bicycle Company, was particularly impressive, riding to first positions in both the Cruiser and Veteran categories in the 8th round. It wasn’t all plain sailing, as Alan comments on his success: ”With no more rain, the track had dried out but the blustery conditions made racing a little sketchy. I kept up my unbeaten run and qualified for the finals although as normal, fatigue was a factor after 20 races.

“Taking the win in the Cruiser final, means that although the series isn’t over, I have secured the series title which now takes me to 38 UK titles, my goal is to now make that a round 40 at the Brits in August. Backing up the Cruiser category win, I also won in the veteran final to go unbeaten for the weekend and helped the team to increase our lead in the series standings.”

Following in his father’s footsteps, Jared Hill took 1st place in his under 9’s age group. While the under 13’s rider, Ben Curling, finished the 8th round in 1st place and Luke Mendes crossed the finish line in 2nd place for the under 15’s. Riders who rode with Maxxis also had a great presence in the 7th round, with Harrison Bell coming first in the under 10’s class and Josh Butson also taking 1st place in the 17-24 category.

All of these riders selected Maxxis Torch or DTH tyres to give them the competitive edge in one of Britain’s biggest BMX competitions.
