Maxxis riders dominate at Fort William

Maxxis riders secured 1st and 2nd place at the renowned Fort William UCI World Cup Men’s final, held last weekend at the Nevis Range in the Scottish Highlands.

Around 9,000 fans enjoyed the Fort William final and watched the world’s best downhill riders battle it out head to head, in signature wet and windy British weather.

Riding on Maxxis newest 29” downhill tyres, Greg Minnaar from the Santa Curuz Syndicate gave it his all and beat his competition, to be crowned the winner for a staggering seventh time, and 20th World Cup win. While Jack Moir from Intense, also sporting Maxxis 29” downhill tyres secured second place. This marked his first ever podium position at a UCI World Cup race.

Both riders took on the gruelling Fort William downhill track that included rocks, drops and ruts, to finish with impressive times. The crowd went absolutely wild, when Greg Minnaar crossed the finish line at 4m 40.344s, while Jack Moir was just over three seconds behind with a time of 4m 43.323s.
