Hat trick confirmed for 2017 off road sponsorship

Entering a New Year with the same unwavering momentum as 2016, Maxxis has confirmed three new off-road sponsorship deals as part of plans to propel the Maxxis name into the hearts and minds of off-road enthusiasts and general motorists alike.

Kicking off the series of announcements with news that Maxxis is to retain the title sponsorship for the MSA English Rally Championship for the second consecutive year, Maxxis has also confirmed that it will be extending its relationship with the British Trial and Rally Drivers Association (BTRDA) by becoming a sponsor of all associated rallies; a move that’s set to provide Maxxis with greater track-side prominence and even more brand exposure.

Hot on the heels of the MSA/BTRDA news, Maxxis confirmed that it will further bolster its off-road sponsorships credentials for 2017 by getting behind Off-Road Armoury racer, Rob Butler, for yet another year.

With Maxxis by his side, Butler has already achieved the title of one of Europe’s most successful 4×4 drivers, and this year, the driver has his eyes set on another European honour. With development and further success in mind, Rob will be showcasing his new motor for this season. Trading in his Eurofighter 4×4, the off-road driver will now be competing in a new Ultra4 car. Complete with Maxxis Trepador 40” Competition Sticky tyres, the new motor will be making history as the very first single seat with an Independent Front Suspension (IFS) in Europe.

The final off-road deal to be announced by Maxxis was that the firm is to lend its support to extreme 4X4 racing legend Jim Marsden.

With many other sponsorship announcements in the pipeline across a broad range of disciplines, Maxxis means business when it comes to promoting its entire range of performance-focused, value-driven, quality tyres as Managing Director, Derek McMartin explains: “Sponsorship plays a vital role in promoting Maxxis and the positive reputation it has developed over recent years to new and existing Maxxis consumers. 2017 is already looking like it’s going to be an incredible year and I’m looking forward to seeing our various tyres put through their paces, in addition to working with dealers to help them cash in on the anticipated surge in demand.”
