Greg Minnaar continues to push the envelope with his riding and his attention to suspension details with the help of Fox Racing and bags a 3rd place podium spot for his efforts.

This is his 70th world cup podium out of 116 world cup starts! Steve Peat had a lot of fun preparing for this race with a custom painted bike and race kit sporting a cow them, udders and all. He was consistent all week with a 42nd place in qualifier and a 49th final position. Josh Bryceland had a quick qualifier in 11th position and rode steady on the loose, dry track for a 18th final spot on race day.

Greg is really focusing on his craft and it shows. He self admittedly made a mess of the top part of the track in qualifier but took big risks in the lower sectors to pull back a second and place 3rd. In the final he had everything dialled in and was steadily gaining through the track and just lost a bit in the lower sector to Aaron Gwin. Greg again placed 3rd to Danny HArt who won his world cup. Greg is holding steady in 4th overall in the series. Josh has moved back up to 14th.

In Steve’s farewell season he has pulled out all the stops with customer painted bikes and special Royal kits. The cow concept was a big hit and he had fun with it all week. You could hear the fans mooing at him as he went down the race track and the cow jokes were rampant.

In his final there was a mishap in the start house with the starters arguing seconds before he started. This was highly irregular and he was granted a re-run. He went 2 seconds quicker in the re-run and this help his finish position by about 10 places. He is sitting 46th overall in the series.
