Maxxis tyres have been chosen by Volkswagen as the Original Equipment fitment for the new VW Caddy 5.
The Mecotra ME3+ tyre is a version of the highly economical aftermarket tyre, the Mecotra ME3, developed especially for the new VW Caddy in 205/60 R16 96H XL.
The Mecotra ME3+ tyre has been developed in accordance with the requirements of the 5th generation VW Caddy by the dedicated Development Centre in China and the European Technical Centre in The Netherlands. This tyre achieves the perfect balance between its existing traits in fuel efficiency, combined with the specific requirements stipulated by Volkswagen for their Caddy van, such as load conditions and driving dynamics.
Featuring a specially-developed tread compound and optimised, state-of-the-art tyre construction, the tyre achieves EU labelling ‘AA’ for both rolling resistance and wet grip, proving that tyre safety and fuel efficiency can go hand-in-hand.
The new VW Caddy 5 will be available to order by the end of 2020 with the specially-developed Maxxis tyres fitted as standard.
