Maxxis Raises UK Profile through Marketing Appointment

Top ten tyre manufacturer looks to increase brand awareness through new Marketing Manager

Maxxis International has promoted Amy Colbourne from Marketing and Sales Co-ordinator to Marketing Manager. The move has been made to help strengthen marketing throughout the UK, as well as push strategies to assist in the global growth of the company. Amy started with Maxxis International in April 2010, when Maxxis made the decision to invest heavily in marketing communications in order to boost its brand profile.

Amy will look after all aspects of marketing in the UK, including activity to support Maxxis distributors. The new role will see Amy take control of the marketing budget, and therefore have more influence over how the top ten tyre maker reaches out to the European and Global markets.

With Maxxis continuing to gain traction in the UK market, the appointment is a timely one, as Amy confirms: “My promotion has come at a very important time for Maxxis. The main challenges we are facing are due to economic pressures such as the mid-range market being squeezed and the total market share of the industry getting smaller. The investment that Maxxis is putting into its marketing department will enable me to push brand awareness, ensuring that Maxxis not only remains one of the top ten tyre manufacturers in the world but also grabs a bigger market share in the UK. Since I started in 2010, I believe I have gained a great understanding of the Maxxis brand and its values, and I feel that I am continuously raising the profile of Maxxis through many various channels.”

Having promoted Amy to Marketing Manager, Maxxis will now focus on building better brand awareness through social media, the Maxxis UK website and point of sale marketing material, as well as raising the profile of the Maxxis brand at exhibitions and events.
