    In The Know Cycling
InTheKnowCycling.com is an e-commerce bike site that also reviews some of the products it sells. They were very pleased with the Padrone TR, including it in their list of “the best tubeless bike tyres”, a list which is just 7 tyres long.

    Bicycle Rolling Resistance
“The Padrone TR is the first Maxxis road bike tyre that we’ve tested and our first impression is that it’s a solid tubeless-ready tyre. Although rolling resistance is a bit higher than the fastest tubeless-ready tyres from other brands, it makes up for this with decent scores in the puncture tests. Rated 4 out of 5 as rolling resistance is the main subject of this website and it looks like Maxxis can improve a bit here.”  Jarno Bierman, BicycleRollingResistance, October 2018

    Padrone TR Tyre: User Reviews

Sometimes the best tyre reviews come from road cyclists just like you.

    Rider, RoadBikeReview.com, June 2017:
“These are the best tubeless tyres I’ve run, and I’ve tried many models from IRC, Bontrager and Schwalbe over my 20K+ miles of road tubeless use. They handle excellently, are very puncture resistant (all retired tyres had virtually no cuts in them whatsoever) and, for those of us with crazy tight rims, mount relatively easily. The tyre production quality is outstanding so no need to worry about bulging spots and tread gouges with these. And as a bonus, they wear like iron. I get more miles (~10%) out of these than I did with Conti GP 4Ks, so while they are mid priced for tubeless tires, on a cost-per-mile basis they are a great value.”

    Technology

    SilkShield

Maxxis SilkShield is an exclusive protective material which offers protection from bead to bead, whereas Silkworm is found only under the tread. Both increase puncture and tear resistance without adding much weight.

    Tubeless Ready Road

Tubeless technology that combines a carbon fiber bead for strength, a bead cushion for security, and a liquid-sealant compatible rubber for air retention, eliminating the need for an inner tube. The puncture protection layer helps prevent damage from road debris. Liquid sealant may be used to prevent any loss of air pressure. Choose Maxxis Tubeless Ready road tires for the ultimate road experience.
