What is Expo?

Motorcycle Trade Expo is Europe’s largest and most successful annual exhibition for the motorcycle, scooter and ATV business. Since its launch in 1996, it has gone from strength to strength delivering more exhibitors and visitors every year. This year’s show, the first at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre, was yet another record-breaking event, with over 240 exhibitors and an all-time record trade attendance of 6,300.

There is no secret to Expo’s ongoing success. First, its January dateline is perfect for new season product launches.Next, its new location at the NEC with its adjoining motorway connections, main line railway station and international airport, provides unbeatable access, certainly the best of any European show venue. As organisers, we are also well aware that exhibitors expect first class service before and during the show and we take pride in ensuring that they really do get it. We also recognise the need to keep space costs to a realistic level so that all exhibitors get real value for their investment.

Finally, we work hard to get dealers and their staff to the show with an ongoing and highly effective pre-show publicity programme that includes personal invitations, email invites and, of course, a three month long trade awareness campaign in British Dealer News, Expo’s sponsor. We have exciting plans for next year’s Expo. Not only will they reinforce the show’s position as Europe’s biggest and most successful trade event for the motorcycle, scooter and ATV business, but also its value as an essential annual showcase for the entire industry.

WHERE THE INDUSTRY MEETS

Expo is one of the most dynamic and positive business tools there is for the motorcycle, scooter, ATV and aftermarket business. Whatever your objectives are, whether to generate sales leads or to launch new products or services, Expo provides the perfect platform. For three days every January, anyone seriously in the retail trade gets themselves to Expo. And they go with a purpose – the show marks the start of a new season and there is business to be done. It could be to meet with existing suppliers, to see potential new suppliers or to check out all the new product launches, but whatever the reason, the trade is there to do serious business. In fact, 89 per cent of decision-makers visiting Expo this year did business at the show, with 72 per cent doing business after the show as a result of visiting Expo.
