Maxxis-sponsored Team Japspeed - winner of the constructor's
title in the 2011 Maxxis British Drift Championship - is to
demonstrate the art of drifting at Top Gear Live, one of world most
exciting indoor performance car spectacles. If reports from
the NEC show are anything to go by it should be worth a visit for
the Japspeed drift displays alone.
Team Japspeed has performed over a dozen times across Europe and
mastered indoor arena conditions at AutoSport International, where
the drivers put on 12 exhilarating displays over four days in the
Live Action Arena.
Maxxis International UK's managing director Derek McMartin said:
"This is a really exciting opportunity for Team Japspeed to
showcase drifting - and the championship winning Maxxis MA-Z1 Drift
tyre - in front of tens of thousands of Top Gear Live visitors,
many of whom will be new to the sport."
Top Gear Live combines all the favourite elements of the hit TV
show, including banter among presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May
and Richard Hammond, Star in a Reasonably Priced Car and, of
course, The Stig. The event is on at London's ExCel from today
until Sunday 27th November.
