The Team Japspeed 1JZ Subaru Impreza, which is sponsored by tyre
manufacturer Maxxis and driven by Steve Biagioni in the Maxxis
British Drift Championship, was stolen on Sunday, June 12 from the
Performance Vauxhall Show.
Maxxis International UK is delighted to report that the car was
found by Thames Valley Police early this morning (Monday, June 13)
in the Reading area.
The Impreza, which was being used at Santa Pod Raceway as a
display vehicle for the Maxxis display, had been stripped of its
bumper, rear spoiler and rear lights as well as its identifying
stickers. It is now being returned to Team Japspeed HQ.
Maxxis would like to convey its thanks to performance car fans
who drove around the M25 last night looking out for the car and to
all those who used their Facebook and Twitter accounts to spread
the word about the theft and ask friends to report any sightings or
information. Their proactive support is very much appreciated.
Maxxis are making a thorough investigation into the incident and
an official statement will be issued once the extent of the damage
to the Impreza and further details are known.
