OVERSEAS: Maxxis Offers Over $1 Million Cash in 2010 Race Rewards

Maxxis is offering lucrative cash rewards or
'contingency payments' totalling more than one million dollars to
ATV and motorcycle racers competing in eight major US race series
this season.
"Historically, Maxxis has offered cash for
certain classes and free tyres for the rest. This year, we've
gone to an all-cash contingency since racers are having a harder
time than ever coming up with the money for things like gas, hotels
and all other race expenses. And of course, the extra cash
will help when they need to replace their well-used
Maxxis tyres," said Maxxis senior
sales representative Harry Tripp.
Competitors can earn cash in the following series: AMA
Arenacross; AMA ATV Motocross Championship; AMA Pro Motocross
Championship; GNCC; Loretta Lynn Amateur National Motocross
Championships; Maxxis New England ATV MX; OMA Nationals and
WORCS.
The payments are on offer in almost all classes and will be
awarded not only to those who make it on to the podium, but also to
the fourth and fifth placed riders.
To qualify for a share of the $1 million prize fund ATV racers
are required to fit Maxxis tyres to all four
wheels while motorcycle riders must use Maxxis on
both the front and rear. All competitors must display the
specified number of Maxxis decals on their
machines.
