Nobel Prize Winner Edmund Phelps Visits Maxxis Headquarters

Maxxis was honored to welcome Dr Edmund S Phelps, winner of the
Nobel Prize in Economics, to the company's headquarters and
Research and Development Centre in Taiwan.
Accompanied by his wife, Dr Phelps toured both facilities on 13th
June and was said to be deeply impressed by his visit. Dr Phelps
visited Maxxis during a trip to Taiwan, where his schedule calls
for meetings with educators and high-ranking government officials,
including Vincent Siew, the country's vice president.
Awarded the Nobel Prize in 2006 for his analysis of intertemporal
tradeoffs in macroeconomic policy, Dr Phelps is the McVickar
Professor of Political Economy at Columbia University and is the
director of the University's Centre on Capitalism and Society. He
was made a Distinguished Fellow of the American Economic
Association in 2000.
