New Pro R1 joins Maxxis High Performance Range

Based on the award winning iPro and MAZ4S, the new PRO R1 is an
exciting new addition to the Maxxis range of high performance
tyres.
Reflecting the manufacturer's latest technological advances, the
PRO R1 is designed to deliver enhanced wet and dry performance,
better fuel economy and longer life as well as a quiet ride.
A reinforced steel belt and jointless spiral-wrapped nylon
cap provide greater high speed stability, better handling and
increased tyre life, while the high tension ply cord also boosts
stability and the slimline bead filler makes for a controlled
ride.
Maxxis's newly developed 'Ultra R' rubber and nano dispersed
SiO2 combine to produce a highly reinforced silica tread
compound which delivers excellent wet grip and the addition of
other special chemicals improves both rolling resistance and fuel
consumption. Thanks to the multi-pitch block design, which
incorporates a raised centre section, pattern vibration and
frequency are reduced, resulting in low noise and improved handling
and performance. The jointless spiral-wound bead wire gives
added strength and reliability and the high hardness sidewall
compound reinforces rigidity to aid handling performance.

the control tyre by 9.8%, and 4.2% respectively."
Available in an impressive range of 31 sizes from 195/50 R15 to
245/35 ZR19 and covering the most popular sizes of 15-19 inch
wheels, the new Maxxis PRO R1 joins a specialist range of high
performance products that have been purpose developed for road and
track.
MAZ1
The popular MAZ1 features an aggressive unidirectional tread
design, stiff sidewall and advanced silica compound for excellent
cornering and handling stability together with superior traction in
wet and dry conditions. Double-steel belts and a jointless
spiral-wrapped full nylon cap ensure durability, while an
ultra-stiff bead filler and solid central rib deliver excellent
manoeuvrability. The Maxxis MAZ1 is available in almost 50
sizes up to 285/30 ZR20.
ZR9
Unveiled to considerable acclaim at AutoSport International in
January 2011, the ZR9 is an ultra high performance radial
specifically developed for asphalt track racing. It features
a directional tread pattern design with low void ratio for
impressive handling plus large shoulder blocks for improved
cornering and lateral stability, while the centre V-shaped grooves
disperse water efficiently to ensure excellent wet traction.
The well-balanced tread, sidewall, bead design and advanced racing
compound meet all the handling and traction requirements for
racing, assuring racers who use it of a competitive edge.
