Maxxis secures a new OE contract with PSA Peugeot Citroen Under: Maxxis News on 03 December 2010

Tyre manufacturer Maxxis International is continuing to build relationships with the world's major car manufacturers and has secured another OE accreditation from PSA.

Maxxis has developed its MA-510 tyre in conjunction with PSA specifically for the European OE market - it already complies with the European type approval standard 661/2009 - and is supplying the tyre in size 175/65R14 as standard equipment on the Peugeot 206+.

This is the second OE contract that Maxxis has been awarded for Peugeot and Citroen models manufactured and marketed across Europe and recognises its technical innovation and quality control.  The contract also reinforces a flourishing partnership with PSA, which dates back to October 2007.

The range entry model of Peugeot's best-selling, iconic hatchback, the 206+ is available in a two-door body style with 1.1L and 1.4L petrol and 1.4L diesel engine options and represents an attractive proposition for buyers of small family cars.

Established in 1967, Maxxis International distributes automotive, light truck, motorcycle, ATV, bicycle, turf and industrial tyres in approximately 170 countries and is a well-established OE supplier.  Now one of the world's top ten tyre manufacturers, Maxxis operates plants in Taiwan, China, Thailand and Vietnam and is currently building two new factories to support its OE obligations and meet domestic and export market requirements.
