Sprowston FC's Under-9s have joined the likes of Premier League
sides Liverpool FC and Aston Villa FC, after becoming the latest
football club to win sponsorship from Maxxis.
Maxxis is one of the world's top ten car tyre manufacturers and
is providing new kit and winter training tops for the two Sprowston
Lads Under-9 teams that play in the Norfolk Youth Combination and
the North East Norfolk Youth Leagues.
It is sponsoring the boys in conjunction with Norwich-based We
Sell Tyres (Wholesale) - a member of Grouptyre, the UK's leading
independent tyre wholesaler - which distributes Maxxis tyres
throughout Norfolk.
Sprowston FC's Under-9s manager Graham Chapple is delighted with
the new kit, which complements the traditional Sprowston Lads
colours of orange and black, and says the teams are raring to start
the new season.
Daniel Jackson, business development manager at We Sell Tyres
(Wholesale), who is himself an Old Sprowston Lads player, said:
"Maxxis is an Official Partner of Liverpool FC, with pitchside
advertising and a strong presence on LFC TV, the website and in the
Club's magazines, as well as links with Aston Villa FC, so this new
deal means Sprowston Lads have really moved into the Premier
League.
"Maxxis has a strong track record of supporting grassroots
sport, and we're delighted to join with them in supporting these
youth teams. We hope their new kit will give them added
confidence and spur them on to make it to the top of their
Leagues."
