Maxxis is a hit with Scotish performance enthusiasts Under: on 25 August 2010

Tyre manufacturer Maxxis teamed up with Max Power, UK's leading modified car magazine, to support the Scottish Modified Show (Sunday, July 18), joining a convoy of performance/ tuning enthusiasts who journeyed from Peterborough to the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston, Edinburgh.

Billed as 'Scotland's biggest and loudest modified car event' the seventh annual Scottish Modified Show did not disappoint, with motorcycle and car stunts, 1,100 clubs/cruise modified car stands, a display of custom hot rods, an auto jumble, live music, go-karting, a large funfair and the Max Power Highland Games Competition.

Maxxis has agreed an affiliation programme with Max Power which is opening up opportunities to promote the brand to the lucrative tuning, styling and performance sector and enjoyed a high profile presence at the show with its striking hospitality unit and inflatable arch providing a focal point.  The glass-fronted trailer unit incorporates a 12.5m x 8m awning, a separate stage area, kitchen and an upper deck - which was dual-branded to reinforce the partnership with Max Power - where guests enjoyed great views of the action.

The ever-popular Maxxis Babes received a warm welcome and handed out T-shirts and other promotional items as they mingled with the crowd and chatted and posed for photographs.

"Our tie up with Max Power is helping to position us as a key supplier to the growing number of people who live and breathe modified cars and the Scottish Modified Show provided us with an ideal platform to promote our products, including the MA-Z1 Drift which has proved itself a star performer during this year's Maxxis British Drift Championship, and highlight how Maxxis delivers quality and reliability at a sensible price," says Maxxis International UK's managing director Derek McMartin.
