Maxxis British Motocross Championship Gets Underway

The Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship
gets underway on Sunday (February 28) at Little Silver near Exeter,
when a host of GP stars and top British riders will contest the
spoils.
The first of the new venues the series will visit this year, the
circuit benefits from all round viewing and is within easy reach of
the M5 motorway (J31). Most of the ground was prepared before
the winter weather set in and with new jumps and technical sections
plus new rules - a Superpole F1/World Superbike style qualifying
session will determine the start gate followed by three 20-minute
races for both the MX1 and MX2 classes - there will be plenty for
the fans to get excited about.
GP riders Zach Osbourne, Tom Church, Stephen Sword, Mattis
Karro, Gareth Swanepoel, Jake Nicholls, Evgeny Bobreshev, Graeme
Irwin and Pascal Lauret will be supported by the best of Britain's
motocross talent. Joining defending MX1 Champion Brad
Anderson are Maxxis sponsored riders Jordan Rose,
Wayne Smith, Neville Bradshaw and Kristian Whatley of
Maxxis Henderson Insurance LPE Kawasaki and Ben
Lamey of the Samsung Maxxis Yamaha team, plus Carl
Nunn, Jason Dougan, Gordon Crockard, James Noble and Elliot
Banks-Browne.
Title sponsor Maxxis will have a strong
presence with its hospitality unit and extensive course banners,
and the Maxxis Babes will also be in
attendance. There is a new Maxxis Babes line
up for 2010 and for the Maxxis ACU British Motocross
Championship season opener head girl Candice will be
joined by new Maxxis Babe Kelly. They will
be mingling with spectators and launching the new collection of
Maxxis Babes ink stamps, which die-hard fans are
sure to want to collect. The girls will update their blogs
and photos from the event will appear in the picture gallery on
their popular website, www.maxxisbabes.com.
The Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship
moves on to Mallory Park, another exciting new venue for the 2010
calendar, for round two on March 21. This will be a special
double header incorporating MX action and a road race. Full
details about the series are available at www.mxgb.co.uk.
