Maxxis Pens New Contract with Liverpool FC

Liverpool FC has confirmed its latest high-profile summer signing – a continuation of its successful relationship with leading tyre manufacturer Maxxis. The winning partnership is by no means new, Maxxis is one of the iconic Club’s longest standing commercial supporters. The new contract does, however, reconfirm both parties’ belief in their dynamic pairing.

The new deal will see Maxxis continue to be highly visible pitch-side at the world famous Anfield stadium, home to the Club which has won 18 league titles, seven FA Cups, eight league cups and five European cups during its illustrious history.

Maxxis International is proud to again be associated with the prestigious club, as managing director Derek McMartin confirms:

“Our partnership with Liverpool has been in place since 2009 and been very beneficial for both parties. Asia is now a highly important market for English football clubs, and Europe is a rapidly expanding market for us – so there’s a lot of synergy there. Add to that the fact the Club has over 4.5 million followers on Twitter and 26 million on Facebook, and it becomes very clear that our two brands combine for the perfect collaboration.  We’re extremely excited to cheer on the team and see how the season unfolds.”

Billy Hogan, Chief Commercial Officer, Liverpool FC, said: “Our partnerships are really about working together effectively and towards mutual goals – we’re now entering our third term with Maxxis and they’re a great example of the long term relationships we like to develop.

“I am delighted by the renewal and we look forward to working with Maxxis over the next two seasons.”

Maxxis’ new commercial deal with Liverpool runs until the end of the 2016/17 season.
