ABERDEEN TO ASSEN - A WINNING WEEKEND

In their own words, the winners of the BSB weekend in Assen tell
us what their weekend was like:
"We had an awesome time, from the minute I got the call from
Maxxis saying we'd won the Diamond competition and were going to
Holland for the BSB with Swan Yamaha.
We could not wait to get there, We were greeted on the Saturday
in hospitality by Ola who was wonderful all weekend and we were
treated like royalty!
We met the riders and the team and had an opportunity for some
pictures, then on Sunday we were in the gold club hospitality suite
just across from the start/finish line. We had a tour of the Swan
team truck and the pit garage where we could get up close to the
actual bikes
Then we were told we would be going for a grid walk on the
second race which was the best thing I have ever experienced, I
thought my heart was going to explode when we were on the grid with
all the teams and riders, free to walk around.
I am a huge fan of Tommy Hill and Nori Haga, so every time one
of them came into the final chicane my camera was there. On the
sighting lap Haga was the first through the chicane so I was
following him snapping away and Tommy came alongside. Then, as Haga
reached his grid position I continued to follow Tommy and caught
the incident on camera that put him out of the first race!
I was very popular as no one else seemed to have the picture,
even MCN approached me so they could publish it!
