Maxxis Tyres teams up with Liverpool FC for 2008/09 season finale

Maxxis Tyres is advancing its strategy of increasing brand awareness through football sponsorship by signing a deal until the end of the 2008/09 season with Liverpool Football Club – the most successful Barclays Premier League Club with 18 League Championships and five European Cup/Champions League titles to its name.
This new partnership offers Maxxis Tyres worldwide exposure using the LED perimeter advertising system at Anfield for the key fixtures against Blackburn Rovers (April 11), Arsenal (April 21), Newcastle (May 2) and Tottenham Hotspur (May 24).
The partnership package includes prominent Maxxis Tyres advertising on LFC’s official website – www.liverpoolfc.tv – the UK’s most popular football website with 1.6 million registered users and up to 2.9 million unique visitors per month.
“The Barclays Premier League title run-in will be very close so we are delighted to have the opportunity to raise awareness of our brand at Liverpool FC games that will not only be sell-outs, but which will also be the main focus of TV’s football coverage for the remainder of the season,” says Maxxis Tyres UK’s managing director Derek McMartin.
Maxxis Tyres embarked on its programme of football sponsorship in 2006/07 and currently has perimeter advertising contracts in place with Everton FC, Tottenham Hotspur FC and Aston Villa FC, where it also enjoys VIP corporate hospitality.
