Maxxis ACU British Championship 2009 - round 1 results

MX1 and MX2 results from the first round at Canada Heights details below:

MX1

Race 1

Brad Anderson  was the leader from the outset and the ultimate winner of the first raceSecond place went to Cedric Melotte  and in third place was James Noble who got the better of Billy MacKenzie, the defennding champion, in the final lap.

Race 2

This was a 'two horse race' from start to finish between Carl Nunn  and Tom Church and Nunn was the ultimate victor followed by Church and Brad Anderson, the first race winner, had to settle for third place.

MX2

Race 1

Shaun Simpson  won the first race with an impressive margin of 26 seconds, but second place was much more closely contested, with Jake Nicholls  taking second place 0.323 of a second ahead of third placed Stephen Sword giving a very exciting start to the season.

Race 2

Shaun Simpson extended his lead to over 49 seconds to take the second race, giving him a faultless start to the season and leaving Mattis Karro (MX2 Junior World Champion 2008) and Neville Bradshaw to battle it out for second and third spot, with Bradshaw taking second place and Karro following up in third
